About Bungee Expeditions

I made my first jump in 1993 on a New Zealand "all rubber" style cord and was immediately hooked.  I quickly started jumping on a regular basis with another club and gained several years of experience and also discover the American system "shock cord" which we use to this day.  In 2001 I decided to form my own bungee jumping club and named it bungee expeditions, our goal was to keep the roots of bridge jumping pure but bring it into the spotlight and have it recognized as a legitimate and safe sport. I have really enjoyed all the years of taking people out and throwing them off bridges.

Chris Batten

I took my first leap in September of 1999 off a local bridge in Idaho. My life became engrossed in everything bungee right away and I knew I wanted to have a larger part in it.  I met Chris through another bungee club and started working bridges with him early on. He came to me in 2001 with some new ideas about safety and bridge experience that I couldn't turn down so I joined him in the making of Bungee Expeditions. To be able to offer such an experience to so many people from so many different backgrounds is an honor I can barely begin to describe. It's all been great history since then as we continually strive to bring the thrill of leaping off of the tallest possible structures in the safest way.
